A guided practice of conscious deep rest — the body softens as if asleep while awareness stays present.

Yoga Nidra is a systematic method of inducing physical, mental, and emotional relaxation while remaining aware. Practitioners usually lie in Savasana and follow a guide through sankalpa (resolve), rotation of consciousness through the body, breath awareness, and imagery. It is often used for stress, sleep support, and recovery. Related modern protocols are sometimes called non-sleep deep rest (NSDR).
