Vata · wind
Light, quick, dry
Cold hands. Irregular hunger. A mind that jumps. Warmth, oil, and a clock help.
Sister of yoga
Find how you tend. Eat with it. Cook. The kitchen and the mat are one house.
Three currents — vata (wind), pitta (fire), kapha (earth). Most of us carry a mix. Eight questions, one at a time. A sketch of how you tend, not a verdict.
Vata · wind
Cold hands. Irregular hunger. A mind that jumps. Warmth, oil, and a clock help.
Pitta · fire
Heat in the belly and the temper. Strong appetite. Cooler food, less chili, shade.
Kapha · earth
Slow to start, strong once moving. Lighter plates, more spice, a morning walk.
Food is practice. Match the plate to the current that is loud today — and to the weather outside.
If vata is loud
Soups, kitchari, oats with ghee, sweet fruit cooked. Regular meals. Skip cold smoothies and long gaps.
If pitta is loud
Cucumber, mint, rice, milk, sweet fruit. Ease off chili, vinegar, and noon sun on an empty stomach.
If kapha is loud
Greens, beans, ginger, mustard seed. Smaller dinner. Skip leftover heavy, dairy at night, and sleeping in.
Season
Summer wants cooler, lighter plates. Fall and winter want warmth and oil. Spring wants bitter greens and less sweet.
Agni
The meal should feel like a fire you can tend — not a flood, not a spark. Sit after you eat. That is still yoga.
Kitchen
A few pans do the whole house: kitchari, tea, greens, a jar of ghee. Cook once. Eat warm.
Kitchen recipes. Tap a card — ingredients to the right, method underneath.
Dinacharya is just a day with a spine. Keep it kind.
Warm water. Light movement or breath. Don’t skip breakfast if you run cold and dry.
The biggest meal when the sun is high. Sit. Then go back to the day.
A lighter plate. Walk if kapha is heavy. Dim the house.
Sleep on a clock. Rest after the meal is still practice.
A short film of the day. Tap a clip — it opens in the center. Pictures, no strange soundtrack.
Sister
Two rooms. One house. The mat leans by the stove.
Food
The kitchen is a practice. Warm. Simple. Steam rising.
Season
The year arrives in the body. Eat with the weather.
Constitution
Three tendencies, one table. Wind, fire, earth — weather in the body.
Rhythm
The day has a shape. Dawn, meal, dusk. Then you sit.
Fire
Agni — the hearth of the meal. Warmth you tend.
Rest
After the meal, sit. This is still yoga.
